We’ve re-created this recipe from the amazing Fitwaffle Kitchen. Her Cinnamon Roll French Toast is a classic — we’ve added apple and a yoghurt drizzle to make it little-foodie friendly. 🍎
These Apple and Cinnamon French Toast rolls are quick, fun and feel like dessert, but come together in minutes. Perfect for snack time!

Apple and Cinnamon French Toast Rolls
Grated apple, cinnamon and apple purée rolled into bread, dipped in egg mixture, pan-fried, and finished with a yoghurt drizzle. Quick, fun, and perfect for little foodies.
What you need
- Rolling pin
- Frypan
- Grater
Ingredients
Rolls
- 4 slices sandwich bread (crusts off)
- 1 small apple, grated and squeezed of juice
- 2 tbsp apple purée
- 1 tsp cinnamon
- 1 egg (or chia “egg”)
- 1/4 cup milk of choice
- 1 tsp vanilla
- Butter or oil for frying
Optional Topping
- Vanilla yoghurt (for drizzling)
Directions
Make the filling
Grate apple, squeeze out excess juice, then mix with apple purée and cinnamon.
Prepare the bread
Roll out bread slices flat. Spread a spoonful of apple mixture over each, then roll up tightly.
Dip & cook
Whisk egg, milk, and vanilla. Quickly dip rolls, then fry in a little butter over medium-low heat until golden on all sides.
Finish & serve
Slice into halves or thirds, drizzle with yoghurt, and enjoy warm.
Storage
- Best eaten fresh.
- Store in fridge up to 2 days, reheat in a dry pan.
